Hi, I’m Michael Cary, founder of Men in the Battle. I started MIB because I needed it. My story is probably a lot like yours. I looked like I had my act together on the outside, I had a successful career, attended church regularly and led a Bible study at work. But behind the scenes, I was caught in a cycle of unwanted sexual behavior, including frequent pornography use and soliciting prostitutes.

I felt broken, ashamed, and completely alone.

Despite years of trying to stop through various methods, nothing worked. Each failed attempt only deepened my shame and depression. I began to question whether God was even real. After 27 years of mishandling my sexuality in a variety of ways, I was in a very dark place. At my lowest point, I even considered ending my life.​

In 2009, God showed me the way out and I finally started living in FREEDOM!

After walking through the Path to Freedom process I learned, everything changed. I’m now living with peace—true serenity. I have a restored marriage, a thriving family, and a deep, authentic relationship with God. I wake up each day with crystal-clear purpose. My life is on track, and I’m becoming the man God always intended me to be.
